Coach Abrams
I enjoy spending my time with my family & being active. I enjoy the outdoors walking/hiking, yoga, golf, canoeing, sledding, and cross-country skiing. I have three adult children and six grandchildren. Our favorite team is the Buffalo Bills. I wear a Buffalo Bills bucket hat everywhere I go!
The main goal for this year is to help our community understand Physical Literacy. The most simple way to explain this is to try new physical activities. Physical Education helps our skills to become comfortable and confident individuals and go and engage in new activities. Share with us some of your activities you are doing, it’s never too late. Submit pictures throughout the school year to kimabrams@niagaracharter.org to promote our Physical Literacy Mural.
Healthy foods, sleep, and good mindfulness. At NCS we have included virtual programs with Cornell Cooperative Extension, Healthy Snap Ed. to promote healthy eating and ideas on how to include healthier food into our lifestyle.
We also have enjoyed prizes from the NFL. Play 60 sends prizes to our students that track their e balanced meal and get their sleep! Please keep supporting Play 60 and watch for cool prizes.
Leader in Me is also new here at NCS. We are always learning; this program teaches strategies that will help our whole community to be leaders! Watch for the leader in me in your child.
Canisius College has continued a partnership with NCS. Canisius College will place a Physical Education Candidate at NCS 2021-20211 school year. We work collaboratively in Physical Education Lessons. Keeping our mind and body healthy during this challenging time.
