Mrs. Barnes
Welcome to third grade! I am Mrs. Barnes. 🙂
I recently got married over the summer so most of you might know me better by Ms. House. I began my journey here at NCS in 2013. Previously, I taught second grade here for five years and this will be my third year teaching third grade.
When I am not in school, I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy baking, being outdoors, shopping, and my cat, Marshall. Over breaks, I like to spend time at my family cottage on Stoney Lake in Canada.
The modules that we will unpack over this school year are: Water, Water Everywhere, Freaky Frogs, and Unlocking Our Imagination: The Key to Neverland.
My hopes for this year are that my students will see the value in self-reflecting in order to achieve new goals in their learning. I plan to encourage and appropriately challenge all my students to try their hardest to meet their third grade goals and be very successful this school year.
