Welcome to 2nd grade! 🙂
I began my journey at NCS in 2011. I was a building-based substitute for two years and then taught First grade for six years. I enjoy teaching Second grade and watching my students become leaders of themselves, their learning, and in the community.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son and dog; Vader. During the summer and fall, I love to go camping with my family!
2nd grade is a very busy year, filled with lots of fun and learning. I am thrilled for all that is planned for your child this year, and I look forward to working with you as well!
I believe that communication is the key to your child’s success and to a great parent/teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any given time. My hope this year is that your child will become a fluent reader, creative writer, proficient mathematician, and an inspiring leader. I will encourage your child to be a leader of their own learning and self-reflect in order to achieve new goals and ultimately, be successful!

Please check/initial your child’s communicator daily for important notes and reminders.
Please encourage your child to read every night!
