Mrs. Brooks
Welcome to Art Class! I am Mrs. Brooks. This is my first year being a part of Niagara Charter School. I am so excited to be working with you and your child this year and seeing where their imagination takes them!
I am a graduate of Buffalo State College. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education Birth-12 as well as my Master’s Degree in Literacy Birth-12. My concentration was in drawing and painting but I love exploring new mediums and methods of art making. I look for opportunities to incorporate Art and Literacy into my lessons.
When I am not teaching or making art, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Mr. Brooks and I have two daughters as well as a dog named Hazel. I also love camping, taking family trips, cooking and shopping.
My hope is to create a safe environment where your child is free to express themselves. Also, to realize that it is okay to make mistakes and to view them as a learning opportunity-a chance to grow personally and even produce a better outcome than expected.
